Gaming licenses extended in Schleswig Holstein
Schleswig-Holstein is extending its 23 licenses for online casinos until 2021. The prime ministers sent a positive signal on Thursday and gambling providers can continue to advertise with the state. New licenses could be issued soon
As of January 2020, all licensing restrictions will be lifted. Until the final decision on the new State Treaty on Gaming 2021, further licenses for gaming providers can be issued. All new assignments are valid for one and a half years and should be imposed with stronger player protection.
In the forthcoming reform of the State Treaty on Gaming, there will certainly be many more discussions. faction leader Ralf Stegner from the SPD has already called the current decision "serious damage". However, the CDU member of parliament Hans-Jörn Arp sees things differently and speaks of a clear success and is aimed at future regulations for the gambling law in Germany.
A really good development for the whole online gambling industry has been created. Although this only applies to Schleswig-Holstein for the time being, all other federal states are still in a gray area, but by 2021 this must and will be put together into a new network.
