Player from Germany wins 60 million euros in the Eurojackpot
A lucky person from North Rhine-Westphalia won an impressive €60 million in the Eurojackpot draw on Tuesday. This player, a 42-year-old man from near Siegen, hit the jackpot with the winning numbers 2, 3, 6, 15 and 35 as well as the additional Euro numbers 1 and 3. The Eurojackpot winners invested only 33,20 euros for his ticket and turned out to be spot on.
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his lucky ticket from Lotto24, an online provider of lottery products. The company belongs to the Zeal Group and is whitelisted as a licensed gaming operator Joint Gaming Authority of the countries recorded.
So far only two lucky Germans have the incredible one Jackpot of 120 million euros cracked. One of them secured the dream win in June 2023 in Schleswig-Holstein, while another celebrated in November 2022 in Berlin. But that's not all: the very first record jackpot of 120 million euros went to Denmark in July 2022. But here the limit has been reached - the European lottery with its 19 participating countries is capped at this incredible amount. German players are often among the top winners
In addition to the lucky North Rhine-Westphalia, the second main prize went to a player from Slovenia. Sebastian Bielski, CFO of the parent company Zeal, expressed his enthusiasm about another record jackpot win by a Lotto24 player.
Germany proves to be a real lucky country, because in the last 19 top prizes, twelve Eurojackpot winners went to players from Germany, four of which went to players from North Rhine-Westphalia alone. The Federal Republic therefore tops the list of countries with the most top winners. The previous maximum jackpot of 120 million euros was won by players from Schleswig-Holstein and Berlin. Finland is the only other country to appear multiple times in the list of recent highest winnings.
The chances of such winnings may be slim, but the excitement will rise again when the jackpot starts again next Friday at 10 million euros.
