It's a shame that there isn't that much going on here, I love the Novoliners and it's good that you can now play them online everywhere. Haven't been to an arcade for at least a year and that's a good thing!!

It's an older topic, but I would still like to add something to it for you:

You have a question and need advice from an expert, but you don't know anyone, so you turn to a forum. You will regret this step!

Example

Suppose there is a banana in front of us and we don't know anything about bananas. Since we don't know any banana experts, we turn to an imaginary fruit forum:

Hi all,I hope you can help me here. I bought a banana at the supermarket and don't know how to eat it. Can someone tell me how to peel them and whether you can eat the peel? Thanks Michael

At least 90% of the answers can be assigned to one of the types described below and are of course completely useless. Yes these characteristics exist everywhere, regardless of whether it is about teddy bears or GDR memorabilia:

The elitist

You only buy fruit from specialist retailers and they will explain to you how to eat it. Anyone who buys their fruit in the supermarket doesn't deserve it any other way, but the main thing is that being stingy is cool!

The elitist only uses the best, or at least that's what everyone is supposed to believe, and therefore he never misses an opportunity to offend newbies and users with little budget. His comments are never really helpful.

The old hand

If you have no idea what you're buying, it's best to stay away from it. I recommend seedless grapes to start with.

The old hand knows a lot, and he has accumulated all this knowledge through painful experience. So why should a novice beginner be presented with wisdom on a silver platter?

The fanboy

As a matter of principle, I don't buy bananas; I only use mango products.

The fanboy doesn't need God, his religion is a brand, a certain system or a product. You can often find it in IT forums (Apple, Linux) but basically anywhere where you can choose between different things (Coke-Pepsi, cats-dogs, etc.). As soon as fanboys get involved in the topic, everything is lost, the further discussion turns into a wild exchange of blows between the fan camps.

The Communicative

I don't know much about bananas, but I have a kiwi here and it's best to cut it in half and scoop it out.

The communicative person likes to talk about himself and takes advantage of every opportunity that comes his way. Even if he can't really comment on the topic, he always has a personal anecdote ready. His posts often lead to the discussion completely changing direction afterwards.

The annoyed one

Have you used the search function or Google yet? The question has already been answered 1000 times.

Nobody forced him to look at the question, he did it anyway, and is now in a bad mood because 20 seconds of his life were stolen. His answer is often just a hunch; he doesn't give any concrete reference to an existing solution. He usually ignores an answer like “I already did that, there was nothing.”

The businessman

I still have a few apples lying around here, they're great, would you like to buy them?

His apartment is full of things that he once bought but eventually replaced with something better. Because his girlfriend would slowly like to use the living room again, he has to get rid of the clutter, which he tries to do regardless of the topic or question.

The fake expert

What kind is it exactly? If you want a proper answer, you also have to ask precise questions. It's best to take photos of the banana too.

He actually has no idea about bananas, he just read the name on the cover of a trade magazine. In order to show everyone present what a super-duper professional he is, he demands details in the hope that they won't be provided. If you can provide him with the information, he will usually ask for a more detailed description or, alternatively, won't hear from you at all.

The networker

Please introduce yourself first. We have the sub-forum “Introductions” for this purpose.

He doesn't really care about the topic, he wants to get to know people, and ideally people who don't just exist in his imagination. He keeps an eye on his forum mailbox all day long and at least 28 threads on the subject of “user meetings” have come from him, all of which have remained unanswered.

The Admin

You posted your question in the “Fruit – General” forum, but it belongs in the “General questions about eating yellow fruits” category. I moved the thread there.

He has been a member of the fruit forum since 1998 and is extremely proud of it. He has also been an admin since 2008 and takes his role very seriously. He regularly searches the forum for new tasks for organizational talents like him. His dream career as a child was to be a village policeman.

The troll – Thanks to Karsten

Very simple, you have to squeeze the banana and squeeze out the pulp, then you can eat the peel!

The troll is a silent representative who doesn't want to have arguments with anyone. First he helps mommy with the dishes and then his little brother with his homework. Unfortunately, as soon as an internet forum stands between him and the rest of humanity, his temper turns around - from that moment on he becomes a dark lord who feeds exclusively on dark matter, anger and hatred.

The Google/Wikipedia guy

According to Wikipedia, the “pulp” of many varieties of Musa × paradisiaca and other hybrids is edible.

Even the Google/Wikipedia guy has no idea about the matter, but he can enter the question into a search field and copy and paste the result back into the forum. He often has a doctorate, but doesn't know exactly why.

The spelling keeper

You forgot a comma after the word “peels”. Please try to use correct punctuation if you expect us to take care of your problems.

He sees spelling mistakes as an attack on his intelligence, which in turn is above average. At school he was the teacher's favorite but hated by everyone else, little has changed in that regard, but he no longer has teachers these days.

It's a shame that there is so little interest, but sometimes it's better, if I look at other forums that are just full of trolls, at least it stays calm and objective here :)

We receive a lot of inquiries by email and as soon as we point out that we should post the request here in the forum, we no longer hear from the user. Some people probably don't dare or simply don't want to post in forums. However, we do not process inquiries by email, because if we help, discuss or provide other services, we should at least receive feedback in the forum as a thank you. Ultimately, our website only serves if others can also participate.

It is clear to me that there are hardly any German gambling forums and the few that are there are either dead or filled with their own user accounts. Anyway, you're right Susana, your focus isn't on a forum either, keep it up.

By the way, I like that you now put so many game reviews online

The sad thing is that you can't trust any other forum. I registered in a few and if I had seen novnetco earlier, things would definitely have been different. The KF used to be in German, but I'm glad that I found the link to the form for the first time, it's funny since I've been looking here for a long time...hahaha

The casino forum reminds me of good times when it was still very much alive. We are not or have not been focused on setting it up as a normal forum, more or less it only serves information. But we would be happy if someone came here and got involved!
